‘Antarshotta’ is the story of love and relationships. Ujan, an introvert, befriends Mishti in school. She’s the only friend he has in his lonely life besides his mother. They grow up together and eventually, he falls in love with Mishti. But before he can propose, another man named Sid proposes to her, and she accepts. A shattered Ujan moves to Mumbai after his mother’s death and becomes a renowned writer.

Years later, he returns to Kolkata and meets Mishti again, who is now separated from her husband. Just as happiness seems within reach, Mishti is killed in an accident, leaving her daughter Mishtu in Ujan’s care. He raises Mishtu, who grows up to be a doctor. When Mishtu marries and moves away, Ujan is left alone once more, waiting to reunite with his lost love in the afterlife.
